one more friend - one more global connection

Alex just left Beijing, this morning.
I was able to catch up with him by phone, just before he crossed the boarding gate, in a very unexpected way. I had not planned to call him, I just happened to notice the time and thought it would be cool if his phone number still worked.. but I was not actually expecting it really. Therefore it was an excellent surprise to talk to you one more time Alex, while you were still in Beijing, and I am very sure we will keep in touch. Wherever each of us will be on the planet!
I choose to put this picture (edit: still can't upload pictures right now, will keep trying regularly)of Marie (Japan), Ming (Australia), Christine (Mexico), and Alex (Netherlands), as it is one of the best I have and our travel in Shanghai, Suzhou, Xi'An during the Chinese New Year was really one of my very best times in China.
Alex you will be missed by all your friends in Beijing!! See you back there in old Europe :)

Just to notive that "old" Europe is not that OLD. If you compare with China, well people were still elevating carved stones in Carnac (pre-Celtic Brittany) when Egypt was mourning its first pharaos, and China was already a vivid Empire.
If you have the opportunity, just visit Carnac in Brittany, they display a wall (not the Great wall, just a museum wall) displaying all civilisations worldwide from -5.000 BC to ... yesterday (JC lifetime). You'll never forget it !

Certes... mais ça n\'empeche pas certains individus, à Carnac comme à la Grande murialle, de se conduire aujourd\'hui comme pendant la préhistoire :p
